Props to whomever it was said there was going to be a re-design. Nothing drastic logo wise. The basketball jerseys are different though. I'll look for pics.

Aw heck it's basically the same thing, except they slapped the football script on the basketball unis, and italicized the Buff.

I dunno... I liked CU's basketball jerseys, they had a font you didn't see on a lot of men's D-I teams. But I like the concept of unifying the schools under one style.

Is this going to spread to other programs? And if so, which sport reigns? Schools like , I would expect the football team to consider adopting Berthold City as the font for the football team (even though they had a Nike-inspired redesign last year in football). But what about schools like the 'Cuse, where football and basketball both have some sway (not to mention lacrosse)? I'd guess the basketball package would get the nod. And would Tennessee's block football numbers get slapped on the hoops unis, which would be a step backward. Then again, the Vols got their marks redone and conformed a little bit (BRING BACK DANIEL BOONE!).

Nike did the the logo "redesign" - polish job - still it's simple and nice.

I know a guy who saw the basketball jerseys and said they're "very nice". I'm looking forward to seeing them.

I dig the adjustments... One of the best Nike modernizations IMO.

Maybe Nike is learning the value of gently tweaking existing designs rather than trample them to bits trying to leave their imprint on a school's look. I do like it.

Interesting that CU is still using old gold & black, when black is technically not a school color (silver & gray... similar threads have beaten this to death lately, so I won't here).

I was expecting something a little more drastic. Then again, I guess the chemical structure of GHB would look awkward on a helmet. Heeheehee.

Looks like whoever did this change were the same people who did the "redesigned" Cincinnati logo. All they did was italicize the wordmark.

Apparently the gold's are alternate. We're still wearing white at home for the most part, but they're basically just the same thing as the gold jerseys, only white.

I saw it posted somewhere - on these boards, I guess - that the NCAA will make home teams wear white only, effective 2006-07. I don't know if this is in response to Illinois, nor can I substantiate it. I am hoping someone else read the same post and knows more than I do about it.

The new unis are nice, even as much as I liked the old hoops gear they had.
