EJ_Barlik Posted May 23, 2005 Posted May 23, 2005 Does anybody out there in cyberland remember (or have proof of) altered logos used during the Super Bowl?? What I'm asking is basically if the NFL teams ever changed or tweaked theri logos similar to how some college teams do for bowl games... I just love penguins......always dressed for the occasion.
swisherHOU Posted May 23, 2005 Posted May 23, 2005 I don't think there has been any. The 49ers wore their throwback uniforms used during the 75th NFL Anniversary season for Super Bowl 29, but that was just because they had good luck in those all season, not just for the Super Bowl. Then there was a rumor that Jerry Jones wanted the Cowboys to wear new uniforms during Super Bowl 28, but the league shot him down before he could do it. Somebody else may know, but did those uniforms end up bieng the star on the shoulder jerseys? One of these years I expect a team to wear their alternate jersey for a Super Bowl if the league lets them.
Stampman Posted May 23, 2005 Posted May 23, 2005 One of these years I expect a team to wear their alternate jersey for a Super Bowl if the league lets them. It's been done in the Grey Cup- Comic Sans walks into a bar, and the bartender says, "Sorry, we don't serve your type here."

sj32 Posted May 24, 2005 Posted May 24, 2005 With the NFL being the NFL, I doubt that they would have allowed any team to make any kind of "tweak" for the Super Bowl. I certainly can't remember any.
DarthMan Posted May 24, 2005 Posted May 24, 2005 ALts should be banned from the super bowl. "We have nothing to fear except fear itself."
lost_limey Posted May 24, 2005 Posted May 24, 2005 They are. And the entire play-offs, it's strictly homes or roads
