I like this idea, hope it happens, but if the Saints move, they must change their name, LA Saints doesnt sound good, but LA Chargers sounds good to me

it should be the Los angeles Chargers and the OC Mischa Bartons. :P

What would the Chargers be named, the Los Angeles Chargers of Anaheim?

(Yeah, that was coming.)

...coming down Main Street, doors open, horn blaring?

. . . with a license plate that reads "B.B.AND S."

the only thing fanwise that will bea hinderence down here is that so many people still consider themselves part of Raider Nation down here even though they've been gone for a decade.  We even had a Raider store last year at the local mall.  Just makes me wonder if enough fans will finally stop their denial and support the new team.

LA Pro Football History

here is a list of names that would possibly work too

I'm sure they will...Los Angeles Dons sounds pretty cool, and they could really give it a traditional feel. Los Angeles Stars sounds good too

Larry Ellison, the co-founder and CEO of database software firm Oracle, is extremely interested in bringing an NFL expansion franchise to Los Angeles. If successful in doing so, he has indicated that he would name the franchise the Los Angeles Stars.

Cant help but feel there'd be public outcry if the Chiefs tried to leave town, much like the whole Cleveland debacle of the late 1990s.

Theres no way the Cheifs will leave Kansas City.

In Spanish and Italian-speaking areas, Don is a title of respect and courtesy which preceeds a gentleman's name (i.e. Don Diego Vega, Don Quijote, Don Giovanni, etc.).

Why didn't I think of that?

Man I'm stupid

Maybe the LA Chargers of Orange County...?

Comic Sans walks into a bar, and the bartender says, "Sorry, we don't serve your type here."

Yeah, true, but... in this case "Dons" has nothing to do with that.

When the AAFC team was founded in 1946, its ownership group couldn't come up with a name that tied closely to the L.A. market either. As a lark they decided to give the team a tentative name, dubbing it the "Dons" in honor of minority shareholder/actor Don Ameche. The name, however, stuck, and wasn't replaced for the duration of the franchise's existence.
