Have you ever sent your Concepts to teams. I dont know if they will take them. I think it would be really to to sent in your ideas and have a team actually make them their new jerseys. TO see your creation on the court or gridiron would be sweet.

Well, if it counts for anything, I designed these unis for my high school football team, which will be worn next year (or year after, depends on when we get enough money...Our booster club is MEH)

I've tried sending the Pensacola Ice Pilots (ECHL) my deisgns for their Alumni game (whiuch happened to be on my birthday, aswell), but they replied "We are not currently interested in new uniform designs. I wasn't trying to suggest a whole new look, but oh well.

I also tried sending stuff to the Amarillo Dusters (af2) for their first year in the af2 after leaving the Intense Football League. Never heard back from them. I might try some other teams.

I think, for the most part, if it's unsolicited, they really won't give stuff that's sent in to them much of a glance. If they've put the word out that they are looking to make a change though, you might have a better shot.

I was thinking about sending my concept to the Chicago Bears, but I was not all sure how I should go about do so. What I would really like to do is have someone make my concept for me. I would enjoy that as much as having the bears wear it.

Does anyone know how much something like having a compete custom jeresy made would cost?

Sterling84's designs for the Manitoba Moose hockey team were fully adopted by the team. Originally, it was to be an alt. jersey, but everyone liked it so much it was then made the official logo and uni set. Thats the short short version (thank you, Spaceballs). If you search the boards I am sure you could find that topic or Sterling84 himself may be willing to share more detail.

Dr. Kelso: My son is a big baseball fan. Not so much playing it, but more the designing and sewing of uniforms.

Tyler: That's neat.

Dr. Kelso: No, it's not.

I sent a series of alternate Blues jersey designs to their (at the time--he recently resigned) Senior VP of Marketing (I think that's the right title) Jim Woodcock. I sent them a well thought out letter complete with my Fanatic Designs letter head explaining who I was and my goal to become a a graphic designer. I did not send the designs in with that letter, rather I asked if they'd be willing to look at them (because a lot of teams apparently will not look at fan submitted designs due to the Baltimore Ravens fiasco). I had listed my email in the letter, and so Mr. Woodcock emailed me back stating that while the Blues were not currently thinking about adopting an alternate, he'd be glad to look at them and if they ever decided to think about having an alt, revisit these designs. So, I emailed him back with the designs. He then replied one more time with small critiques on them and said some other nice things.

So, they never used them (and there'd be quite a few changes I'd make to them now a couple of years later), but I still find that whole process to be a pretty cool thing for me.
