2005 MLB All-Star Challenge

Recommended Posts

I had an idea for a contest/pool. if there are enough people the enter then i will do it for the four big sports (NBA, NFL, MLB, NHL if there is any)

So heres the pool/contest, each person will try to predict the AL and NL starting line-up for the 2005 MLB All-Star game. For every player they get correct they will get 3 points. (Total possible points 54)

The next thing they will try to predict is the Home Run Derby Champion if you get that correct you will get 10 points. With the Home Run Derby you have to assume that the person is going to be an All-Star because if the person isn't in the Home Run Derby then there's a wasted opportunity for 10 points. (Total possible points 10)

The final thing to predict is the score and who will be the winning team in the All Star game. If you predict the team who wins correctly you get 10 points if you predict the correct number of runs any team scores you get 15 points if you predict the score correctly you will get 30 points. (Total possible points 40)

You have until 11:59 PM ET on June 30, 2005 to submit your predictions.

good luck to all. if you have any questions either post them or PM me

What fun will that be?  You will basically know who the starters will be a couple weeks before the ballots close.

True, but MLB also publishes a weekly update of the vote totals. Except for maybe two positions, the leaders have substantial margains.
