i disagree. the current white sox road script (the one used in this concept) is the best road font in the majors, imo.

It's not that I don't like that font by itself at all. In this case what I was saying is you have a 1910 logo with a 1960's font and I think it's a mismatch and personally I would go with an older font to match up better with the logo for this concept.

I have heard a lot of praise for the current road script, so I know it is good, but I just can't see what is so praiseworthy about it (and I am a Sox fan). To me the script just looks like the plain cursive writing I learned in second grade. Clue me in, what about that wordmark is so attractive?

Tell me what you think of Western Connecticut's "new" logos: http://www.wcsu.edu/sports/ They are much better than what we had when blue and white were the official school colors, and somehow red or light blue would sneak in, but I know a lot of people who think the 1700s Colonial mascot looks "ethnic" (I think he just has a tan - no SPF 30 back in the day!)

Yah, I've seen the new WestConn logos around...it's definitely an improvement over that simple navy blue W they used to have....
