CONCEPT: Buffalo Bills

Recommended Posts

I've played around a little bit with Buffalo's existing uniform set, and thought that maybe THIS was a better way to go...get rid of the Dark Navy Blue, keep the Nickel, and go with White helmets. It still needs a little clean-up, but you'll get the idea:

The shoulder yoke just doesn't work IMO.

You could take the nickel out completely and its absence wouldn't be noticeable. And the yoke works for hockey, but not football.

I normally think that Pantone is the man, but I think that this concept is very weak. The minuses outnumber the pluses.

Good: Got rid of the 2-tone blue.

Bad: Still a disgusting yoke.

Bad: Nickel included, but not needed at all.

Bad: Introduces another white helmet into a division already with 2 white helmets and a silver helmet.

this is nice a way betther their current jersey. A mix somewhat old and new. Great Job, just make it a blue helmet with a white bill/buffalo.

Nice to see I'm someone's inspiration.

I might tell my mum about that.

She'll be pleased.

As for the jersey, well, I was looking to get rid of the yoke, which is the thing on the white jersey that's around the neck.

(Nickel is the colour used as an accent, and for mine, that can go too)

Actually, I'm sounding like JG.

I prefer the red helmet too.

As for the yoke, it's not only retro, it's one of those retro things that should never come back into fashion.

Like penny farthing bikes, or top hats.

There aren't many teams you can say this about, but they looked better 25 years ago. (OK, Cinci is another)

Amen to that! I see you chose the 1982 Bills unis- i prefer the slightly different 1980 version. The socks look better, plus the stripe on the white pants are red-blue-red, which i like better than the blue-red-blue.

Yolk- the nasty collar the bills have (or something like that)

Nickel- one of the colors on the bills helmet stripes, sort of like silver (or copper, i dunno)

Yeah, I actually prefer the red socks.

Have you seen their alt for this season?

I hope they don't play the Lions in this get-up.

Excellent- I did a similar concept a little while ago, but I can't find it.

The Bills are in danger of losing their identity in order to sell more jerseys!

I agree with the 80's style uniform coming back. I guess I agree with a red or blue helmet. Little known fact, the Bills switched from white helmets to try to help Joe Ferguson cut down interceptions. I think back in the 80's almost all the teams in the East had white helmets - Colts, Jets, Patriots, Dolphins

I like the old style "buffalo" on the helmet too!
