Removing Watermarks From Images

I know that, but I'm trying to find a way to get the 'getty images' watermarks off some of the photos so I can use them for making wallpapers and whatnot. That's why I'm asking.

Buy them from Getty. They aren't going to let people take their professionally taken photos for free.

My opinion may or may not be the same as yours. The choice is up to you.

Yea, like I can afford $80 a photo.

Now I'm thinking asking this was a bad idea because I forgot about watermarks that people put on their work to protect it.

Hmm, I think I'll just ask something else then:

Does anyone know how to access their 'free comping' images? I contacted them about it and they said I needed to contact their 'guy' that does the NFL images they have, but have yet to get anything back from him.

It's driving me crazy. For example that's the only place I can find a good photo of Lenny Walls or Nick Ferguson.

Um.

Yah.

You understand that's an ultra-shady thing to ask, right?

Thats like asking a bunch of musicians the best way to download music.

Good use of forethought there.

I totally agree with you there. I ended up posting the thread and didn't think about the other stuff until Chris said, " Watermarks are not meant to be removed" and it hit me what I had asked.

So please, can a mod send this to the graveyard? PLEASE!!!

taking watermarks off a professional photographer's image. that's cool.

cool like taking avenger's canadiens concept logo and passing it off as your own.

very cool.

Yea, if I was gonna use it to make money or make something commercial.

I f***ed up, I took Avenger's logo and edited it and claimed it as mine, I'll admit that straight up.

All I want to do is make wallpapers and other graphics with photos of players I can't find anywhere else.

It seems everyone like jumping on me and attacking me for things that happened in the past. Everyone makes mistakes, and I'll admit, I've made my fair share. Now if you want to attack me or jump on me, then go ahead, if you really have nothing better to do. I know there are some members here who have it out for me and I know most of who they are. In life you will make friends and you will have people who don't like you, this holds true for everyone and I can deal with it without attacking others because I have better things to be doing with my time.

Wasn't this post locked, and for just that reason?
