New Era tags

Im sure everyone has noticed that New Era changed their tagging for the 2005 season.

Something strange I noticed was on the size tag. I wear a 7 1/8 hat.

On the tags from last year's hats the 7 1/8 says 56.8 CM.

On this year's hat the 7 1/8 says 57 CM.

Did they actually make them bigger or did they just round up?

Is it like this with other sizes?

Why do I care so much?

i accually brought this up in another thread earlier this year. I even took a picture

I like it because i think there is accually a bit more room because before a 7 1/2 was slightly too tight where all of the new ones seem to fit just fine

Mmmhhh... if they round up the inches for big and not por little, that's OK for me.

Although I asked 7 1/4, I like centimeters.

Does anyone notice the additional 0.4 cm? I haven't bought a New Era cap this year, but I've noticed some considerable variability in what they call "7 1/4". I have a 7 1/4 I can't wear even after a fresh haircut, and other 7 1/4s that are loose when my hair grows all the way out. If this helps them unify their sizings, I am all for it.

In order for the Mets' run of 12 losses in 17 games to mean something, the Phillies still had to win 13 of 17.

I have a Cubs 5950 home cap I bought in 1996, size 7 3/8, that still fits great.... just looks really dirty.

Bought a 7 1/2 to replace it in 2001 and it still fits great, but was starting to show some wear, so...

I bought a 2005 version, size 7 1/2, at this year's Cubs Convention for half price. That was January. That cap is now fitting a bit snug, despite the fact I've sweat less in it and it still looks brand new.

So I guess I'm saying who knows. But I'm back to wearing the slightly dirty 2001 version and the '05 sits on my desk.
