It became the center of western Plains agriculture, especially wheat farming and cattle ranching. Brewing became a major economic pillar until Prohibition. The sun shines 300 days a year on average, and Denver is now also home to one of two U.S. mints. Gold, grain, beer, sunshine, and minting. All of which would be represented by the Denver Goldens.
