boardname
Was just mentioned on the Dodgers/Braves game that LA will be wearing Brooklyn throwbacks on Aug 28..vs the Astros. Now I have no idea whether they'll be taking part but.. do I dare to even think it? Could they.. possibly... ?!?!

(Did they really have a number on the pants? I don't remember that at all. How awful!)

fashman23
I remember the White Sox having the number on the pants of the S-O-X softball type uniforms worn in the early to mid 80's. However, I don't remeber the number being on the pants when they wore the Campbell's soup "C" hats with the White Sox or Chicago script.
jm1266
The White Sox kept the number on the pants when the switched to the more traditional uniforms in 1987. However, they took the number off the following year and rolled with just plain white and gray uniform pants through 1990. I always kind of liked that look of the numbered pants myself, it's different.
tater
Wouldn't it be more appropriate for the Astros to break out a Colt .45's uniform?Or would the gun reference be too violent for today's society?

Actually, it is easier to see the number there than on the jersey where the arms and glove get in the way.LT

I think the malt liquor reference is too disgusting for today's society.
Bernd
Naturally, the Astros should wear 1950s-era Houston Buffaloes uniforms:
