NJTank
In college he was a superstar with Nebraska in the NFL he was a huge busts who eventually played in Canada now the oft troubled Lawrence Phillip could heading for the big house after trying to run teens over in a stolen car.http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2140010
otherwilds
Wow a guy with that much talent and absolutely no self control. On the opposite end of the scale ESPN had a piece about a rookie on the Vikings that was impressive. As a kid the guy was severly burned but overcame those challenges and was drafted in the second round. A great story of overcoming obstacles by this kid will never get the press that Phillips saga of wasted opportunites will.

gashouser27
Is he the worst psycho in sports history or what?He is kind of like a minor league OJ..Lock him up for good before it gets much worse!
VitaminD
Minor league OJ? OJ may or may not have killed his ex-wife. Lawrence Phillips has had a pattern of socially inappropriate and destructive behavior going back to his college days. And that's only the stuff we know about - God knows what else's he's done/said that never got reported.Less celebrity than OJ, I'll agree. Less talent, I'll also agree. But this guy is infinitely a bigger cancer to society than OJ appears to be. Choking a woman into unconsciousness? Running down teenagers over a pickup football beef? How many more chances does this guy get? It's not like he's a somebody at this point, where we all know he'd get a slap on the wrist and let go. He's a washout as a pro athlete, why should he keep getting reprieves?
