rmackman
Here you can barely see the W with a rose patch on the shoulder of #68 and on Terell Fletcher, but that was a special Rose Bowl thing that I think a lot of teams do. Michigan does that also. Here's a game against Colorado, but I think that's Brooks Bollinger there so I don't think that's the year you want. Here's a 1995 one you can see they temporarily had a Big Ten Patch.Okay I give up! I searched and searched and I think I found a lot of good stuff, but not the W on the shoulder. My next best idea is someone contact the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel and have them search their archives and mail you a photo. That's all I can say. That or the UW Athletic Association. "Every morning in Africa, a gazelle wakes up. It knows it must run faster than the fastest lion or it will be eaten. Every morning in Africa, a lion wakes up. It knows it must outrun the slowest gazelle or it will starve. It doesn't matter whether you're a lion or a gazelle. When the sun comes up, you'd better be running." - Unknown | Check out my articles on jerseys at Bacon Sports

OnWis97
as previously mentioned, twas a rare night game at Camp Randall. in fact, the first ever, IIRC. Colorado beat UW bad-our boys never had a chance. I was a junior at UW that year. I'll never forget it. The anticipation of a night game at camp randall. The brew was flowing like water. I knew they were wearing those Cowboys/49ers jerseys. I hated them. UW's simple look was good enough for me. And Colorado just waxed us--they had done so in boulder the year before. Had we won, I wonder if they'd ever have worn those monstrosities again. Yuck. Two other Big Ten schools had some messed up jerseys about then too (as some have mentioned).MINNESOTA: The M & M jersey was terrible. Either right before that or right after that, they used similar colors (metallic gold, but maybe a lighter maroon) in a jersey that was much better. Personally, I am glad they are back where they'd been before.MN MetallicIowa: Those winged (never heard the "banana peel" term, but it works) is just one of the worst ideas ever.As for those "tire tread" basketball shorts, there were about six schools that had that identical pattern. It was horrible. Minnesota was one of them. Minnesota has had classy hoops uniforms as long as I can remember, except for the converse tire tread year(s). Awful. And it was so cheesy how those 5 or 6 schools all had that same lame pattern. Disclaimer: If this comment is about an NBA uniform from 2017-2018 or later, do not constitute a lack of acknowledgement of the corporate logo to mean anything other than "the corporate logo is terrible and makes the uniform significantly worse." DGivens87
Since I started this topic, I might as well kinda close the door on it as well. After combing through as many Pats articles from the mid-90s, I found this article in the August 31, 1995 edition of Patriots Football Weekly:"Slaves to Fashion"When the Patriots step on the field as Foxboro Stadium against the Cleveland Browns this Sunday, they may appear sharper than in former years. It's not only the coaching they've received, it's the jerseys they're wearing. The Patriots unveiled new uniforms at the Annual Kickoff Luncheon Aug. 24. The new jersey, which has been in design since August 1994, sports the Patriots logo on the shoulders and the numbers on the sleeve. Previously, the logo, in smaller form, was stitched to the sleeve and the numbers were on the shoulders. By alternating the density of the fabric, a striping effect was also added to the shirt's body, and the written Patriots logo was added to the front, below the NFL logo. Lastly, the player's numbers will appear 3-D, with red shadowing added behind them.Rumors had been circulating that the "Elvis" logo, which was introduced in March 1993, was going to the change, but that was never the intent of the Kraft family."We didn't want to change the color or the logo," said Jonathan Kraft, Patriots VP. "That wouldn't be fair to the fans. But, they were previous ownership's uniforms and we wanted to put our family stamp on the field."There is a photo of former Pats QB Scott Zolak holding up the jersey - can't tell if it's Starter or Apex One. Probably Starter, though. But anyway, just wanted to share this. A large cheese pizza, just for me.New England's source for soccer newsAnd hey, I made it to ESPN! WSU151
DGiv,There's another article in the 1996 PFW yearbook (the military-themed cover), and it talks about Starter and the materials. But now I know why the Pats wore the 1994 jerseys for the 1995 pre-season...the new ones weren't unveiled until August 24th. Troy Aikman's is almost in his armpit! Aikman requested that his 75th patch be lower than normal...he said he always wiped sweat off his face in the area where they normally put the patch. Ha, yeah i was gonna say it was like they tried to match the patch on every player at the same height, so the taller you were, the lower the patch was and vice versa On 11/19/2012 at 7:23 PM, oldschoolvikings said: She’s still half convinced “Chris Creamer” is a porn site.)
