The (Golden) Eagle has landed

Recommended Posts

Marquette University released two designs for its revised Golden Eagle mascot:

They are NOT holding a vote on this but are inviting feedback to the designer.

I like this part:

Meet the Mascot Designer on Aug. 31

Eric Rickabaugh, a nationally recognized branding specialist for collegiate sports teams, will be in Room 139 of the Alumni Memorial Union on Wednesday, August 31, from 9:00 a.m. until noon and from 1 to 3 p.m. to talk with students and others about the mascot design. Rickabaugh also designed the monogram unveiled by the university last spring.

The mascot will be present at Marquette Athletics events this fall.  The primary identifier for Marquette Athletics will be the MU monogram. The existing Golden Eagle design continues to be an officially licensed mark of Marquette Athletics.
