BucsBoy02 Posted August 31, 2005 Share Posted August 31, 2005 I've seen people do the recolering of the Old logos, and I always liked the way the Buccaneers logo in red and orange so I figured Id try doin the same but with the whole uniform. But combined with the colors, it was just bad karma. Call them head cases, but no football player felt tough in those uniforms. You could also conceivably go with Heat Miser when the fire ability wears off.As for the concept - I'm with icecap. Bucco Bruce brought a lot more red to the helmet, as did the helmet striping, which I am not seeing here. The only team that really makes an orange this bright work well is the U. of Tennessee. And that's because they've built a winning tradition with that color. You need something to darken this up - all that orange on all that white is just eye-searing.This would be a great chance to modify your self-imposed rule and make the pirate flags and sails black. Not only were most traditional pirate flags black, but it would really pop off the light colors on the helmets and the jerseys. You don't have to go crazy with the black and go all Detroit Lions with it. But if you're not going to put more red into the mix, your darkest color is a very light orange, which isn't going to work. The rest of it... I'm neutral - it's OK. But nothing distinguishing. Aside from the colors, there's nothing that makes me say, "Oh yeah! That's the Bucs because of XXXXX."
