Road Schedule for Saints?

Pat

As a Giants fan, I really dont know what to think of it. I bet if we win the superbowl this year :P all other NFL fans will complain that the G-Men had 1 more home game than anybody else. On a different note, it's sad to see that the Saints may never play a game in New Orleans again.

So now the Giants basically have nine home games.  That's real fair.  <_<

Perhaps if you'd get your head out of your ass for thirty seconds, you might have time to realize that there is something much more important to the league and the rest of the country right now than worrying about whether a team that's not going to make the playoffs anyway is going to have an extra home game.

You know what's fluffing unfair?

Not fluffing knowing where your family is.

Losing everything you own.

Sitting in your own plop in the scorching heat or in a stuffy arena with people dying around you for three days.

Waiting for medicine you need to fluffing stay alive.

Being forced to wade through neck-deep water and plop to break into a store to get food to feed your family.

Going three days without food and water.

Lying dead in the street.

Getting treated like a fluffing wild animal by your own fluffing government.

You want fluffing unfair?

Now I know why I don't fluffing post here anymore.

Disgusting.

Well its too bad they cant fina a place for the Saints to play home games in the area San ANtoniuo Baton Rouge you name it. Just as a means of comfort for some of the people who got out maybe even as a way to raise money for the recovery.

I know this though I may see if I can get to that Giants Saints game and if I do Ill root for the Saints.

UW, I understand your point, I don't think every thread needs to have someone post something to remind us all of the carnage Hurricane Katrina has and continues to cause. We will not and cannot forget, okay! The people in that area are facing absolutely unspeakable horror that most of us couldn't even imagine. However, if someone would dare wish to speak about something, anything else, I think we should let them. Sports are frivolous, sports are fun. Let us have our fun and frivolity while our world crumbles around us, please!

No, UW's got a pretty good point...I could care less if the G-men get an extra home game...and on the cosmic scale of things, it's not exactly a big concern..

Seeing that its looking like the Alamodome might be getting used as a shelter for folks from NOLA, and Baton Rouge isn't even in the equation right now...it's the only thing they could do....

Who's the fluffing moron here?

I've never seen anyone complain about the Giants playing an extra home game during the seasons they play @ the Jets, or vice versa.

Please. This is an extremely unusual and unfortunate situation. If someone is complaining about a team getting an extra "home" game due to its opponent being forced to relocate the game because of a horrifying natural disaster, then they should leave their head up their ass.

Care to elaborate?

What point were you making?

That the Giants getting an extra home game is unfair, correct?

What did I miss?

And being called a moron and being told I'm making myself look like a fluffing idiot by someone that turns both into an art form on a consistent basis warms the cockles of my heart.

The point I was trying to drive home was that the game could have played at a neutral site instead of basically making it a road game for the Saints. I would love to see the city of New Orleans recover before the end of the year so they can get the Superdome set up and the Saints can possibly play a game in front of home folks. And if you still think I'm not effected and saddened by the hurricane, you're dead fluffing wrong.

You said it was unfair that the Giants get 9 home games.

You didn't say that it's unfair that the Saints are on the road for the forseeable future.

Exactly.

Am I a Giants fan? Hell no. Do you think I wanna see them have any kind of extra advantage? No sir. You, my friend, brought the Saints into play here, and the people of New Orleans, and the tragedy so I thought I would give you my take on it.

Happy now?

Now im not sure it would happen, but i would hope that the fans will cheer for the Saints like they would at the dome in new Orleans. I hope that for just one game Giants fans can cut their ties to their team and cheer as if they have been life long Saints fans. You just watch the game. Knowing the people from that area, who have been through a disaster themselves, ill bet you that it wont be just another home game for the G men.

I bet you Giants fans who usually dont have a chance to go to games, will be quick to snatch up those tickets

If they get a chance. Season ticket holders might have the first chance at tickets and the Giants would donate the gate to help the relief effort.

I don't see how a 1 o'clock 4 o'clock double header is possible. I don't think there is enough time to get 76,000 people out and 76,000 more people into the stadium. Considering the amont of tailgating that happens at Jets and Giants games there isn't enough parking for 162,000 people at the meadowlands.

The game will most likely be on Saturday or Monday.

I'm sure the Jets game would be pushed to 7 or 8pm
