Jim, I checked with the source -- Panthers equipment guru Jackie Miles. Here's the deal. Jackie notes that the home team gets to choose its color first in all cases. "We normally choose to wear white in the hot months at home and black in Nov. and Dec. at home," Jackie writes. "We will wear white at home against New Orleans on 9/11 and New England on 9/18. Miami will wear white against us at Miami on 9/25 so we will have to wear our colored jersey which for this game we chose to wear blue. The reason for that is the black jerseys will be really hot in the Miami sun so we feel blue will be cooler. We will wear black on the Monday night game against Green Bay on 10/3, because we like to wear black and this is a night game so the sun won't be a factor. Arizona will be wearing white out there on 10/9 so again we will wear blue to help out with the sun and heat. We will wear white away against Detroit on 10/16, Chicago on 11/20, Buffalo on 11/27, New Orleans on 12/18, and Atlanta on 1/1. We will wear black away against Tampa on 11/6. We will wear black at home for the rest of the season starting with Minnesota on 10/30 with the exception of the Dallas game on 12/24 which we will wear white.
