Brian in Boston Posted September 27, 2005 Share Posted September 27, 2005 Babe Ruth was a member of the International League's Providence Grays when he hit his first professional home-run against the Toronto Maple Leafs at Hanlan's Point Stadium in Toronto on September 5, 1914.Ruth went on to hit his first major-league home-run on behalf of the Boston Red Sox at New York City's Polo Grounds on May 6, 1915.
