yh
Hey, that's swell. A college nobody cares about is going to wear a jersey nobody cares about. Smiley or no smiley, that's uncalled for. This is a sports design board. It's relevant and people here do find it interesting. Troy University is a cornerstone team of the Sun Belt Conference - a collection of schools relatively new to Division 1A ball. It's not the SEC but it's got a handful of programs such as North Texas, Middle Tennessee State and, of course, Troy, that are starting to become more competitive, not unlike where Marshall was in the early 90's and schools like Bowling Green and Miami of Ohio have been in the last few years (although those two schools have been in the big league for significantly longer). So, in response to your silly wisecrack, real college football fans and fans of sports design do, in fact, care.Get a clue or check out.

autrojan
HEY! I spent 5 hazy, drunken years there getting a useless degree! So, I guess I care...I was going to ask sacker12 if Troy was going to go back to black, need black hats, though...Also, when did Hector (the new mascot) appear? What happened to T-Roy? He looked pretty hazy and drunken himself...

However, there have been rumors of T-Roy coming back since Hector is not very popular.About the jerseys, we will be wearing retro jerseys against FIU. They will be the same jerseys worn during Al Lucas's senior year, when he was 1-AA Player of the Year. The helmets will be black, but that is all I can say about that. I wish I could post photos of the jerseys, but I can't find any.
sacker12
I've seen the whole set that we will be wearing against FIU. I would put up a mockup of the helmet that we will wear, but I do not want to risk getting in trouble. But, I will tell you that they will be wearing the retro black jerseys from the 1999 season (Al Lucas's senior year), silver pants, and black helmets. The helmet will look like our current game helmet, except it will be black instead of cardinal. I think the game will be on ESPNU Thursday night. FirearmofMutiny
Hard to earn respect when you show up on Minnesota's non-conference schedule. Minnesota doesn't beat anyone good--look at how bad Purdue sucks now! But seriously, they did send Mizzou's football program into a hell of a tailspin. Jigga
Out of deference to Al Lucas, I will not say anything negative. Classy move by Troy. Hopefully they'll win the game, too! sacker12
Hopefully the helmets will look okay tomorrow night. The black helmets we will wear tonight are actually our regular practice helmets. Fortunately, with a little elbow grease, denatured alcohol, and Turtle Wax, the helmets are look pretty nice.
