Puckguy14
Ok, perhaps the world of abreviating has gone too far?
Grandmaster C
I would say yes in this case, especially cause this will look like WSOS when viewed from far away.
BBTV
Horrible. The World Series is far to big of an event to be abbreviated. Maybe that is just the cap patch and the jersey patch will spell it out?
Patchez
Ok, perhaps the world of abreviating has gone too far?Perhaps it WS stands for White Sox!What I don't like is the MLB logo's colors reversed! Think it was a mistake?
patsox
its probably the cap logo. remember the cap logo last year? it was an alternate square version of the regular logo.
hormone
Maybe it's the "hip" thing to do like in the NBA when you have ATL or PHX on your unis.
STL FANATIC
I don't mind the abbreviating, especially if it's just the cap logo. What I don't like is (as someone already mentioned) the colors being swapped on the MLB logo, and I also don't like that ugly brown-green color on the longitude lines...there's no reason they couldn't be white or gold. CC97
What they need to do is skin the WS logo in the team colours of the one wearing it... see Marlins 97 Robinson patch... ye-ah!
HurricaneDavid
I'm surprised they haven't highlighted the fact that this is the 100th World Series...
HatCityEnforcer
I'm surprised they haven't highlighted the fact that this is the 100th World Series... They kinda already did the centennial WS stuff in 2003....granted it was only the centennial YEAR of it and not the actually centennial series... To acknowledge that this is the 100th World Series two years after the centennial year would require some explanation or mention of the cancelled serieses -- a subject MLB probably wants to avoid.(Is serieses a word?) Yah, 1994's still a sore subject amongst baseball fans...1904 they could explain seeing that nobody's left that actually remembers it.

Subtract the two cancelled series', 103-2 = 101.Therefore, this is the 101st.

So this would be the 101st anniversary. (The 1st anniversary would have been 1904) Add one to get the year, you get 102- the 2 cancelled makes it 100.
