Same with the Eagles, Cardinals, Falcons, Ravens, and Seahawks with wings, Bears and Lions with little ears, and Dolphins with a little fin on top of their helmet. I recognize this wouldn't be safe at all, but it sure would be funny to watch. i'm sure the literal FLAME HEADS in tennessee would go over really well. i'd pay to watch those games. I think if your team is named after an animal, you should allow that specific animal to be one of the players on your team. So, maybe the Jacksonville Jaguars could have a real Jaguar at linebacker. The vikings are great with what they have. The Saints have a great look (except for some confusion about the actual colors). Remember the Saints throwbacks a couple years back?? 5-stripe jersey, grey face mask, etc....??Those were fantastic. It looks to be just a fun thing that the paper set up, rather than anything serious.I like the '96 update of the Vikings unis, with the gold trim on the numbers, etc; however, I liked the old arm stripes. I'm not sure how good a change to the old darker purple would look under the lights and roof of the Metrodome; might look close to black (which I'm sure NFL marketing would love). That said, I remember seeing many Vikes games on TV where their unis have looked almost blue. Maybe if Zygi can get an outdoor stadium, they should switch back to the darker purple. Zygi Wilf is behind the Gopher football stadium, which is a top Priority for Tim Pawlenty, Minnesota Governer. Then is the Twins. You might think about signing St. Michael the Archangel, who fought many battles against evil. Also, his supernatural abilities would definitely be an advantage. The same goes for the Cardinals. Plenty of them were tough guys. In fact, as a Cards fan and former Valley resident, I think forcing Bill Bidwill to give operational control to Pope Alexander VI would be a welcome change. He was the patron of the notorious Borgia family and renowned for his cutthroat ability to get what he wanted. Sure, he's been dead for 500 years, but it would be a definite upgrade over the current management.As for the Ravens, a head coach with Edgar Allan Poe's imagination might liven up the offense a bit. The helmet depicted in that piece looked different in that the Viking horn was situated on the helmet to look more like the secondary logo, kind of like this (I thought it looked good): Who's been giving the helmet Viagra? If that horn stays like that for more than 4 hours, you'd better consult your physician, as permanent damage may occur.(And yes, I deliberated for a couple minutes if I was going to post. The Victims' uniforms have been pretty bad for a long time, but the roadies a lot more so than the homes.And as for the Porkers, those guys are in serious need of some updating. "It's tradition" is just a poor excuse for a bad uniform design.Uniform updates can be done without choking on current trends a-la the Cardinals redesign. He didn't get into specifics, but P.A. (Vikings radio PBP guy) said he's also heard rumblings at Winter Park about an alternate jersey for next year, and......possibly adding black to the uniform. Please don't with our uni's. They have stayed almost the exact same since our inception, with some minor adjustments like stripes here and there, facemask color, etc.Maybe...maybe...bring back the purple road pants, but damn.....don't overhaul the whole damn thing Zygi! The fact that you need to notify the league of uni changes two years in advance leads me to believe this rumor could be false seeing that McCombs was still there at the end of 2005 and I doubt that Wilf would be following through with his ideas and I also find it hard to believe that McCombs would spend money on the uni's.
