Thierry Henry
On the Cowboys, that is.I was wondering if anyone knew if the back of his jersey says "R.WILLIAMS," or "WILLIAMS."Thanks. GO ARSENAL!GO RED SOX!
schwep76
99% sure it says R. WILLIAMS, even though he's the only Williams we have anymore. I think this dates back to when Randal Williams was a backup WR...he wore RA. WILLIAMS, Roy wore just R. WILLIAMS, and he kept it even when Randal was cut. Survival79
He currently wears R.WILLIAMS but he's also worn RO. WILLIAMS: We are wolves • Under the moon
hormone
What's the ruling when you're the only person with the last name? Are you allowed to still abbreviate the first initial?
Bouj
What's the ruling when you're the only person with the last name? Are you allowed to still abbreviate the first initial? Considering how regimented the NFL is about their uniforms, you probably can't go with the initial unless there are 2+ players with the same last name on the team.I'm sure it's in the rulebook somewhere. TBGKon
What's the ruling when you're the only person with the last name? Are you allowed to still abbreviate the first initial? I believe Keyshawn Johnson had the K. when he was on on the Buccaneers before the team signed Brad Johnson
Thierry Henry
I always thought that if, in Keyshaun's case, that once you get the initial, you're allowed to keep it. GO ARSENAL!GO RED SOX!
schwep76
Yea, I'm pretty sure that you're right...once you get it, you can keep it...and even when we dropped Randal Williams, Roy just decided to keep the R in front of WILLIAMS.
