It's bad enough that they made the buffalo head the focal part of the current package, but with the skull (is it even a buffalo?), it's extended past the point where it makes a cute play on the city's name. Now it's just cryptic.2. The white jersey makes me think New Jersey Devils. Red & black should not be the Sabres' colors, when blue and gold was a classic and wonderful combination. Red & black reminds me of the scumbag Rigas family and the disputed goal in the Cup finals. The sooner they return to blue & gold, the happier I'd be.3. The choice of numeral font is anything but what a team from Buffalo would be wearing.On the good side, the alternate logo ("B/sword") is what SHOULD be their primary crest. "Start spreading the news... They're leavin' today... Won't get to be a part of it... Although I already love the red alternate they have now with the crossed swords logo. The logo used for the home and away just doesn't really work for me. Besides that I dont really like it too much. Font is bad, the logo is kinda weird. I like the idea of the alternate but it still needs some work. B-mer Posted October 23, 2005 Share Posted October 23, 2005 i really like them, except the logo and the number font. i'd use their current crossblades logo, and put a buffalo on it to be like the old one. if you made the circle red and the buffalo black or silver, that'd be sweet. and just use their current number font. the jerseys though are really nice. Lies, and damned lies!The current home & away are the biggest injustice a team's identity has ever seen.
