Brian in Boston
Logos for the Los Angeles Riptide of Major League Lacrosse are up on the USPTO website. I'm assuming that someone here has already tracked them down, but - having been out of town for the Thanksgiving holiday - I wasn't certain. TBGKon
In my opinion, not too bad at all
logodawg
Simple, yet striking. I like it. But it would be nice if they added some color to it. I once had a car but I crashed it. I once had a guitar but I smashed it. I once, wait where am I going with this?

They most likely will, this is just a copy that the government puts on their trademark site for informational purposes
amare32
Maybe the resolution is insufficient, but those don't look eyes to me. They look more like forehead triangles.
Brian in Boston
There's another logo, featuring a shark swimming between the letters "L" and "A", posted on the USPTO site as well.

gordie_delini
the idea is cool, but i really don't see how a shark has anything to do with a riptide...ocean, yeah, but not a riptide. i think there could be room for improvement. it's a nice logo though
Brian in Boston
Slightly different coloring on the team's website.Frankly, I like it much better with the highlights on both sides of the shark's head being rendered in Teal.Incidentally, based upon the size of the surfboard... that's one big-ass shark! pittfan11
The colors go good with the logo.
powersurge
Makes me wonder if the Miami Dolphins should experiment with these colors....eh....maybe not
amare32
In the full color shot the resolution is improved. I hadn't before seen that the word "Riptide" is printed on a surfboard -- cool effect.
paynomind
This is one of those logos i struggle with, to like or not like. I dig the simple shapes and coloring.. the bold lines, the clean curves. But at the same time, its a little TOO simple, too ordinary, too easy.I'm just not sure on this one.All in all, considering it is Major League Lacrosse, and thinking about how cool the unis could look in grey with the green and orange highlights, I'll go ahead and say i like the look.Though, it seems very "secondary-logo" to me.
