The name of the team on their jersey instead of the name of the school?

I was thinking about this, and I don't think I've ever seen a school come out with "Wildcats" or "Tigers" on the jersey, it's always the school name. Do any teams have the athletic name on their jerseys?

They did, in the Lou Henson era. To be exact, their uniforms said

That went away due to the Chief Illiniwek unpleasantness.

When Arkansas beat Duke for the National Championship in 1994 they wore 'Razorbacks' on their whites,and I believe for the most part they have continued this in the years since.

I was thinking back to the Nolan Richardson era Razorbacks, but I couldn't remember specifically what they wore. A quick search shows they did indeed wear 'Razorbacks' on their unis.

Is it just me or is that the smallest wordmark ever in the history of college hoops? It's just "Bulls", it can fit on a jersey without being shrunk down like that, lol.

I think the only reason they wear the nickname of the jersey is to show off the Bull with the horned U design.

These were USF's jerseys from the 03-04 season to the 04-05 season. The Bulls ones are new.

USF wears "Bulls" on their home jersey. I have yet to see their road jersey.

They have it on their roads, too. I saw them play in the tournament here at Missouri State. They lost to Texas A&M Corpus Christi. Arkansas still says Razorbacks on the homes. UNC Wilmington HAD Seahawks on their home ones, last time I checked and that's been awile. I know there a lot more others. I'll try and think of em.

North Dakota State has three sets of uniforms -- white, gold and green. The gold ones read Bison, while the others read NDSU.

I know at A&M the girls used to wear these ugly things, but they now have a set that say Texas A&M, unfortunatly the lettering is the same size and font.

Also, when grambling came to play our men's team, their jerseys said Tigers

They also put a script "Hokies" on their orange alts, at least a season ago.
