murtaugh Posted December 25, 2005 Posted December 25, 2005 I'm not normally big on the idea of concepts for teams I don't care anything about, but the combination of being bored, being Christmas, and having some time on my hands conspired to produce this.- tried to incorporate the dual nature of the 'apollo' reference with both the stylised command module and the harp shape for the badge.- took a lot of inspiration for the symbol from the several great minimalist NASL logos of way back.- did orange and blue, just because.i don't really think this would be the best name for the team (though i should have absolutely no say); Houston 1836 strikes me as a better option. But it gave me some ideas so i decided to throw them against the wall. NO GRAND

Outline the player's name on the away unis in orange. The way you have it now, if it's a long name part of the name disappears.2. Add some blue, doesn't have to be much, to the away shorts just to try them together. You have all 3 colors on the home shorts while you only have 2 on the away ones. I once had a car but I crashed it. I once had a guitar but I smashed it. I once, wait where am I going with this?

One thing remains to make it perfect - that's the MLS font, which if you PM me I can send you the vector file for.

I also did some replacement logos (same colors) with the seemingly popular name choice, Houston 1836... but I don't know I want to do a wholesale concept. They need work, obviously.So... whatever. I wouldn't change a thing.However on the 36ers logo, it just seems way too busy.
