SmoothieX
I love the idea of opening night. I don't get why they don't start the season on a Friday night follwed by a weekend series anyway. That being said, it doesn't seem like anyone is hurting for attendance on that Monday though. It's a pseudo-holiday anyway. I always used to cut school to the the Mets opener with my Dad.
Blackjack76
This smells like a hoax.... A hoax for what? Who benefits from making fake Opening Day/Night/Series logos? See: Houston RepublicThis just seems "not finished" with the different outlines (or fills within the outlines) and the hurricane-effect lettering.I don't know, it just seems wrong for some reason. And to answer the question about merchandise (caps, t-shirts, etc.)...I don't know...but for publications (pocket schedules) and point-of-sale (think beer), then yes, Opening Day logos are used all the time.
