Bucs set to make HUGE move

If the Bucs are to sign T.O., I would hope that they sign him to a series of 1-year contracts for about 3-5 years.  This way, if he plays nicey-nice with the team for a year, he can then sign for the next year.  But if T.O. and his sugar daddy Rosenhouse has a hissy-fit season, we can keep him through that year and then cut him.

If I remember correctly, Brian Griese has a contract similar to this.

Good luck with that. You can sign him to a 30-minute contract to be nicey-nice, doesn't mean he will.

Keep in mind, he's leaving $7 mil per year in Philadelphia on a contract he signed before he wore out his welcome in Philadelphia, and that wasn't enough money or years for Drew Rosenmouth. And Rosenmouth still hasn't seen his first dime in income off of T.O. - Owens played under the contract signed under the previous agent. They're looking for the Big Score - lots of ca$h, lots of years. Money befitting the top WRs in the league - hell, he wants QB money to play WR, when he feels like it.

So, what has the client gotten from his agent? Let's see... public spat after public spat with teammates, coaches and management; loss of job; loss of income; more damage to his reputation after a brief PR rehab getting out of San Francisco; bridges burning all around him; the erosion of a huge amount of public goodwill built up by a season where he kept his mouth shut and helped his squad reach the Super Bowl.

And if you're dumb enough to take him now and have to compensate, all the more better for the Eagles. Care to bet how long until he throws Chris Simms under the bus?

CAVEAT EMPTOR.

In order for the Mets' run of 12 losses in 17 games to mean something, the Phillies still had to win 13 of 17.
