griffelh
It is not easy to see, but I am quite certain that in the picture in this week's Sports Illustrated on Page 55 you can see that on the back of Satan's jersey is the old logo and on TV last night I got a quick look at a couple of Oilers jerseys and they too sport the old logo.It appears that the NHL is too cheap to even require all teams to sport up-to-date equipment! griffelh
Here is the picture from SI.com:It is not as high resolution as in the magazine, but if you enlarge it you can clearly see that the NHL is downward slanting as in the old logo. BPenix
I think your confusing the teams logos with the logo. Both teams you say both have a orange color similar to the ond NHL logo.On this logo I can clearly see the new NHL logo on Chris Campoli #14 of the Islanders as well as on the Flames player, Chuck Kobasew. (hockey pants) It also appears on each players jersey. You can also clearly see the silver logo on the Oilers jersey going right to left. (right edge of Peca's jersey.) ElwoodCuse
Yeah, in the actual magazine you can see the bottom edge of a Reebok logo. There's probably a Koho one underneath.
oakland ehs
I recall the Bruins white jerseys having a handful with the old logos, as of their game in Edmonton.I was going to post something but got lazy.
stpmn
All NHL jerseys have the old league logo embroidered on the back right hem. The league sent out small patches with the new logo to place over the old embroidered logo. The league also sent larger patches to sew on the back leg of the pants.Yes, there are teams that don't have every player with the new logo on the pants and sweaters. The NHL is usually very quick to recognize this and makes a phone call or sends a fax to the trainers' to get this corrected.

The league also sent larger patches to sew on the back leg of the pants.I was wondering about that, I thought maybe it was just the way the new logo for the pants cut that they had a larger black boarder than was really necessary, but I would be willing to bet that is to make sure they can completely cover the old logo. I also noticed the sheild looked thicker (sticking out frather) this year than years past and that would account for that too, same goes for the jersey patches. You can see this on the back of Staal's pants and see the jersey on the back of Jason Woolley's jersey.
