bigwalk
Having grown up around it, I'm going to disagree with the idea that college baseball is uniformly (ha) the worst dressed sport. Florida State has a rather wide range of uniforms that they've worn, some of which are rather nice...(Those have gold pants which actually work, despite the face that they're neither white nor grey)Then, they had some odd ones like these from the JD Drew era that seem to be trying to be Blue Jays uniforms:
Sport
Go through college baseball and you will find that team for team it has absolutely the worst uniforms in any sport. You'll see white hats I was interrupted in the middle of a thought here and accidentally pressed add reply. What I was saying is that you will see alot of things at the college level that we would think to be absolutely terrible for a professional team to wear, such as clemson's white hats, or how miami had at one point silver pinstripes on gray pants? Or how almost no team's batting helmets match the actual team cap. Or the standard colored vest over different colored sleeves. In general I don't like college baseball uniforms. VitaminD
Florida State has a rather wide range of uniforms that they've worn, some of which are rather nice......and some, like a pale gold vest with pinstripes, that are just awful and are riddled with about as many contrivances as they could stuff into one jersey (they omitted piping and drop shadows). Which is another problem with college baseball uniforms: they give these teams an entire closetful of possible uniform choices. Some of the nonsense that goes on in MLB with multiple alts and/or throwbacks is bad, but big-time college teams get ridiculous with the mix & match choices they throw together. How many diehards are going to buy this year's home weekend night-game sleeveless alternate just to be current? "Start spreading the news... They're leavin' today... Won't get to be a part of it... In old New York..."In order for the Mets' run of 12 losses in 17 games to mean something, the Phillies still had to win 13 of 17.

nickelcat15
I do like Stanford's white and grey vest look (Classic). IU new colors have provided a sharp home vest uni.
Bernd
Is there any team, at any level of play in baseball, that requires team members to have uniform dress codes on the field? You know, hats, sleeves, socks, pant length...
Sport
Is there any team, at any level of play in baseball, that requires team members to have uniform dress codes on the field? You know, hats, sleeves, socks, pant length... I don't know about any other level but our coach on my high school team had us all wear our pants at our ankles, mainly because he wanted us to all look like a team. Also we weren't allowed to have our hats on backwards or sideways, which is something I wouldn't do anyways. I think a hat rule is pretty common. One thing I don't understand that seems to be fashionable now is the flat bill look. I just don't get that one.

VitaminD
Tulane's wannabe Expos pinwheel caps are worse than what the picture shows - white, green and dark green/black (couldn't tell from watching). But the Tennessee uniform trumps that - UCLA football stripes over the shoulders... and isn't your best-known color that bright light Vols orange? So why black? But Houston's take the cake. Graidents, pale gold unis... . And these both replaced some terrible concepts I remember from their last CWS appearance. "Start spreading the news... They're leavin' today... FiddySicks
Horrid, makes me HATE Tennessee baseball, and im a huge Vols fan. Take this EXACT same color combo and make it a baseball uninot even this monstrosityNo Wonder Todd Helton had to play football for the Vols along with baseball, had to look respectable at some point in college. bsilva1
I had a picture of the Tulane expos hat with West Virginia football jersey style striping or whatever down the sides. Here it is...Several teams have the UCLA style striping over the shoulders. These are bad too...

bsilva1
FofATL, this thread is basically finding the worst of the worst. There are several schools with really nice uniforms. Stanford is one. Here are a few others... best I could find of Ole Miss.

VitaminD
I had a picture of the Tulane expos hat with West Virginia football jersey style striping or whatever down the sides. Here it is... Nice find. I had forgotten Tulane added those ridiculous football-inspired side panels. As for Rice, not only are the UCLA stripes hideous (does their football team even use them?), the oversized lettering and number puts them in the College World Series of Hideous Uniforms.Clemson... don't know what to tell you. I give them full credit for playing the hand they're dealt. School colors are orange and purple, and they don't stick to that at all costs. It's not be pretty, but it's theirs; like Bowling Green or Virginia Tech, they're going to show it to the world. My wife and I were on our honeymoon in Hawai'i, and we saw a guy a few feet away with a hideous purple/orange print golf shirt and wide-brimmed hat. We caught up to him, and sure enough, he was a Clemson alum. No one else in their right mind would go out in pubic wearing purple and orange... "Start spreading the news... They're leavin' today...
