The Nation Posted January 20, 2006 Posted January 20, 2006 The FIFA World Cup is coming around, and it once again gives an opportunity for non football watchers to act like soccer guru's.But anyways as an actual football fan, who watches all possible club games, I have to say that Ryan Babel is probably the best player that no body knows about, especially here in North America. For those who don't know, he is Dutch, and plays for Ajax.Other soon to be household names -Akwa, any others.
BJ Sands Posted January 20, 2006 Posted January 20, 2006 He may not even be the best player on his club, but Joe Cole of Chelsea will give England an attacking dimension that will not be overlooked this summer. Another Lion, Ledley King of Spurs could be a huge contributor, if he sees the pitch.
The Nation Posted January 20, 2006 Author Posted January 20, 2006 Cole and King should be big parts on Englands team, especially King, with Rio Ferdinand in horrible form, and Sol Campbell and his fitness issues.Look out for the Dutch with Robin van Persie, Arjen Robben, Nigel De Jong, and afore mentioned Ryan Babel....Luca Toni, I forgot about him, could be the man this summer.
