Motherwell in the Scottish Premier League is letting fans submit kit designs for the 06/07 season. An internal panel that includes manager and former England captain Terry Butcher will whittle the submissions down to three finalists.

The final three will be posted online for a public vote.

Thanks man,

Motherwell's colours are described as "Claret and Amber" so the maroon is claret.

Traditionally, "the well" wore amber shirts with a wide claret stripe across the chest. Also, currently their alternate is black with a diagonal claret and amber stripe, they are ugly. So putting these two things together I decided to make the alternate a reversal on the tradition and go with an amber stripe on claret.

I didn't go for the stripe on the home and away because they've been on and off about it over the recent years, so i just wanted something clean and modern.

Also, the thin claret stripe above the thicker one is straight from their crest.

My father is from Motherwell, so I was excited to hear about this contest, he said he likes them.

:D
