Just practice with the Bezier tool...

another handy tip w bezier and pen tool...

i like to use the shift key while dragging bezier handles to keep curves at 0/45/90 degree angles.

practice makes perfect

'nother nice tip...

grab a HotRod, Truckin', or any other similar auto/truck/motorcycle magazine, scan a flame job you like, place and trace in illy.

after you do a few, you'll see there's many different types and styles as well as widths and length styles to use. find what suites you best.

once you get to be old hat at building the flame art, import it back into photoshop for some fun with bevels, gradient fills, shadows, and ghosted images in the artwork much like you'd see on high end custom paint jobs. it's a ton of fun!
