Cujo Posted February 4, 2006 Share Posted February 4, 2006 I was just toying around with the idea of mixing up the Jets a lil bit and here's what I came up with. The primary uniforms basically stay the same except for I got rid of the meaningless shoulder patch. The helmet logo was switched to their current alternate logo as the current Jets logo is pretty much ditched for the NY logo. I also mised in some alternates similar to what the Jets wore in the 80s except replaces the kelly green with their current dark green color.C&C as always. Claystation360 Posted February 5, 2006 Share Posted February 5, 2006 I like it , the only think is i would put the Jet's logo from the 80's on the helmet over the oval NY or just in the Green Oval & have it say JETS , Because of the Giants with there NY look right now it just would look as a bit of a copy . Larry013 Posted February 5, 2006 Share Posted February 5, 2006 I love the Jets current uni, so when I first saw this I tried so hard to hate it. Problem is, I couldn't. I love how you stayed with the same base uniform, but removed the oval logos, and used the wordmark instead. The helmet would be the only sticking point for me. As was said before, let the Giants use the NY on the helmets, and go with the 80's Jets wordmark.I especially like how the alternates are "throwbacks" in the current Jets green.As far as the numbers, being a traditionalist, I think you did it right by sticking with a varsity font.All in all, beautiful unis, Curt! Giants Can Have the NY, I Like the current logo on the Helmet, but with the Alternate Jereseys change the helmet to the 80's Jets Wordmark.Its a great idea Dirt! I was thinking of giving that idea a shot as well, but I was unable to find the font (it's not Impact, but I know the one youre talking about) ... actually, I couldn't get it free but I can imagine they look better with block. I finally tracked down a free version of the "NY" font and here is the final product.I must say, it looks okay but they're not nearly as good as the classic block numbers the Jets currently sport.
