nsentv
Here's a question for all the NBA fans out there (though those of you with no lives and nothing better to do can feel free to comment on how much 'the NBA sucks'): After what Dwyane Wade did to Detroit on Sunday and after what LeBron did to the Spurs last night, who's better? Wade or LeBron? For me, it's Wade. (right now, anyway). LeBron might end up being one of the greats of all time, but so far, considering the fact that Wade has been to the playoffs twice (including the pre-Shaq year), and the fact that he led Marquette to the Final Four, I've got to pick him. LeBron's great, but he hasn't won anything yet.
WSU151
LeBron's got the better outside shot (by far), but you can't discount Wade's ability in the clutch. The guy is a winner. I'd take Wade. Smart is believing half of what you hear. Genius is knowing which half.
infrared41
Wade or LeBron? Talk about a nice problem to have. The truth is neither one has "won anything." Yeah Wade has made the playoffs but give LeBron Wade's supporting cast and then who do you like? I'll take LeBron for the long haul because I think he's a more complete player but I'm not complaining if I have either one.

'Toine doesn't scare anyone anymore, Shaq is having a sub-par year, Payton is still good but doesn't get good minutes, and Williams has been mediocre when he's in a game, which is few and far between... Haslem has been pretty consistent, but in big games, his shooting seems to disappear.LeBron's supporting cast has always been mediocre, no question. Even with a shared guy (Damon Jones), it seems as though Jones played a lot better last year, though he has a decent center right now in Ilgauskas. Smart is believing half of what you hear. HowBoutThemFins
Wade. He's been to the playoffs in each of his first 2 years (first year without O'Neal) and is headed back this season. LeBron's a great player and you can argue that his surrounding cast hasn't been great but he hasn't done anything (no playoffs). He's supposed to have been better than Wade and 'Melo but them 2 have been somewhere LeBron hasn't been yet. LeBron may be more complete than Wade but Wade is only getting better and I think eventually Dwyane will be a better player if he isn't already. leafs13
Lebron. Wade can't shoot outside to save his life and Lebron gets more rebounds and he's four inches taller. Wade is surrounded by a good team and Shaq. Lebron's around...who???
WSU151
Lebron. Wade can't shoot outside to save his life and Lebron gets more rebounds and he's four inches taller. Wade is surrounded by a good team and Shaq. Lebron's around...who??? Wade can hit a 18 footer with his eyes closed. See: Knicks game, 2005. See: Sunday's Pistons game. See: New Orleans game, 2004. See: Any other Heat game. Wade's teammates are overrated, except for Shaq, though he's closing in on that level. Wade's problem is the 3 point shot, but he's pretty deadly from anything inside the arc. Plus I'd take Wade's defense over LeBron's. Wade is a terrific shot blocker. BCBoy
I'd take LeBron. He is so versitile because he can play SF, SG or PG. Wade is more of a SG or PG. LeBron has the height and the range over Wade and I think LeBron is pretty clutch as well.
Nick 1733
I wouldn't want either, I'd rather have Carmelo. He's a gamebreaker and he's not even in the all star game. He's hit six, I believe, game winning shots in his career and four this year alone. He's carried the Nuggets while Camby has been injured and K-Mart has been hurt on and off during that stretch. He's the second leading scorer in the Western Conference and he's still not in the all star game, what a crock of s***. And Lebron can't hit an 18 footer with his eyes closed? 'Zo is for sure overrated! Only hitting 57% of his shots, not good or anything. James Posey, also overrated! Only 43% on 3s.Actually, now that I realize that Gooden and Ilgauskus are so good, I'm thinking that James isn't so good. (that that sentence was serious) Posey may have a high percentage, but how many threes per game does he take? His slow release really hampers him, and therefore he doesn't shoot a whole lot. Antoine is severely overrated.Payton is good, but his best days are behind him.Zo's play has been incredible, sorry to include him in the "overrated" grouping.Shaq's play has been declining, and his inside shot is mediocre at best.I watch this team as much as I can...and this year, Wade carries that team on his shoulders no doubt about it. He doesn't get much help from anyone else. And leafs, I just said Wade could shoot with his eyes closed from 18 because many, many, many people don't think he's got a decent perimeter shot. I didn't mean to take away from LeBron. Smart is believing half of what you hear. Genius is knowing which half.
See Red
I think LeBron's the best, Wade is second for now.But I'd take 'Melo over D-Wade because he's 3 years younger, and probably just as clutch.
black_gold_capone
Lebron James will probaly be right up there with Jordan and Magic. Wade will be great but I just don't see him being up there with Lebron when its all said and done. He comes off the bench and is STILL one of the leagues best Centers. His job isn't to score yet he still has a high FG%. His job is to block and alter shots and that's exactly what he's done since returning last year. I'll agree that players like Walker and even Posey area tad overrated but lets not bring Zo into the equation.

Last time I checked there's no D in Carmelo. That figures, because there's no D in his game either. Uh, so he can score, great. Is he a leader? Is he a marquee player? Does the average fan really respect his game. Lemme help you with those. No, hell no, and hell the no.Give me Wade at this point. And it's not even close, IMO. I don't give a damn about hype, stats, potential, and "supporting casts" when my eyes, my head, and my gut all tell me DWade is the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth. He's got that killer instinct, the so-called "IT" factor. Both Wade and LeBron can completely take over a game for long stretches, but Bron doesn't have Wade's heart. I'll take less talent and more heart for $2000 please, Alex.As infrared41 stated, it'd be a great problem to have! On January 16, 2013 at 3:49 PM, NJTank said: Btw this is old hat for Notre Dame. Melo's D has been upgraded considerably, especially in the win against Seattle. LeBron is good, but he's not a guy I would want to have the ball with the game on the line, Anthony IS. Anthony is proven clutch time and time again. Wade is clutch and a big time performer but Carmelo is younger and has far to go still. So I would still take Carmelo over both Wade and James. Not saying he's the better basketball player, just saying I would rather have him on my team than the other two.I'm sure ITE88 can vouch for me here.
