Italy in the WBC

I was looking at the logo set for the italian team for the WBC and it doesn't make sense at all.

The colors of Italy are green, red, and white, yet their primary logo/script is in blue writing. Also, the color of the italian hat is blue as well.

The only green on the whole jersey will be the patch of the italian flag.

How does this make any sense?

ALL of the national teams for Italy wear blue (hence why they're commonly referred to as the Azzuri (most commonly heard in connection with their national side in soccer, but it's also been used in reference to the hockey team as well).)

It's a tradition that dates back to the 19th century...might have something to do with the old royal family (seeing Italy was a kingdom from the 1860s through WWII).

this has been covered numerous times. all italian national teams wear blue as thier primary color with little to no green, white, and red trim.

blue is a historic royal color of italy much the same way orange is to the netherlands.

italy should be wearing blue, because after all, they did steal thier flag from mexico. (read up on it, the GWR tricolor was officially mexico's flag before it was italy's)
