HatManTC
Alexander and Brees set to test marketTwo very big names who will not get franchised. i dont see why Seattle is letting Alexander test the market. being he is the best RB and or player in the NFL.but as for Brees, he didnt start playing well until he realized that he had a legitimate replacement for him in Phillip Rivers. i for one will be glad to see Rivers being able to get a chance to showchase his talents in SD. dmr
S. Alexander can not be franchise tagged by the Seahawks. The Seahawks gave S. Alexander the franchise tag last year, instead of signing the 1 year franchise tender/contract, S. Alexander reached an a contract of 1 year, which was pretty much the same salary of the franchise tender, but it also contained the stipulation that the Seahawks could not tag S. Alexander during this off season. So, the Seahawks have to either give him a contract he wants or let him test free agency and hope that their offer was the best.dmr
black_gold_capone
This definetly gives Nick Sabban a chance to grab a darn good QB.On the Alexander side, maybe it can bring Arizona some respectability......he'll be back in Seattle. PeytonManningRocks
Hmmmm... you know if my Colts are gonna lose Edge, maybe we should convince Alexander to come here. I'd love that!

Cujo
You can add Jamal Lewis of the Ravens to the list of upcoming free agents. After his previous two dreadful seasons, maybe Indy can get him if he's not asking too much.
Mac the Knife
wow...we cant lose alexander. Yes you can, and I hope you do. Yes, you can, and you already have is actually the more accurate statement.Unless he can't find another place to go.The guy I'm watching in the FA market is actually Edgerrin James. While he's liable to wind up somewhere where his talents will be woefully wasted (Atlanta, New Orleans, etc.), I'm secretly hoping that he goes to the Rooney's and says, "I don't care about money - where 'The Bus' stopped, I want to be 'The Train', picking up where he left off and driving the Steelers to another title so I can get a ring." And I'm not even a Steeler fan really.

TenaciousG
Yes, you can, and you already have is actually the more accurate statement. Not entirely true. Alexander's most desirable playing situation next year is with Seattle. If he wants to get cash and never have a shot at a championship or getting another good contract, he can go to Arizona or anyone else. However, the Hawks need to do everything in their power to keep them. Without Alexander they are not a super bowl contender and possibly not even a playoff team (although odds are 7-9 could still win the NFC west next year)
