Bucs also cut Jeff Gooch and Matt Stinchcomb. Not huge cuts considering that all three spent a signifigant time on the IR (Gooch and Mat S the whole year, Greasie half the year).

Kinda bummed we had to cut Brian Griese though. He did an amazing job for us last season untill the injury.

SECOND EDIT***

Apparently someone hacked into the clevelandbrowns.com website and broke the Givens/Zastudil deal. Givens agent is mad and the browns website is getting a lot of heat for bad security on the website.

The first weird free-agency report of the night came from Cleveland, when the team's Web site reportedly signed Patriots wide receiver David Givens and Ravens punter Dave Zastudil. The only problem was it wasn't true. Givens' agent, Brad Blank, has his client on a 7 a.m. flight to Miami to visit the Dolphins, and he almost didn't send Givens to Cleveland because of the erroneous report. Blank theorized that someone hacked into the Browns' computer, but he emphasized that no deal is done. Givens is scheduled to visit the Browns on Sunday if he doesn't sign with the Dolphins on Saturday

EDIT***

Breaking News:

Minnesota and Oakland are making a deal!

This is how I have heard it is breaking down...

MINNESOTA gets: Ronald Curry and a 3rd round pick

OAKLAND gets: Culpepper and a 6th round pick

The deal is NOT final, but apparently the deal is close to being done. The Vikes get what the Raiders say is A VERY underrated player along with a 3rd rounder (a little weak in my opinion) and of course, the Raiders get a big time QB

If this trade does go through, Culpepper should be thankful to be back with Randy Moss. We all saw what kind of a player Culpepper was last season without Moss on the Vikes. It will be interesting to see how Art Shell manages the two.

Also just breaking: Alstott Remains in Tampa Bay

HA!!!!!! YES!!!!!!!!!! Alstott, one more year with the Bucs

Report: Alstott to remain with Bucs

Tampa, FL (Sports Network) - Fullback Mike Alstott reportedly agreed on a one-year contract late Friday night to remain with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

According to the Tampa Tribune, the deal was believed to be worth about $2 million. The move comes after the Bucs released three players to gain more room under the league's $102 million salary cap.

In 10 seasons with Tampa Bay, Alstott has rushed 1,299 times for 4,917 yards with 55 touchdowns. The 32-year-old also has 284 career catches for 2,199 yards and 13 touchdowns.

Last year, Alstott rushed just 34 times for 80 yards and six touchdowns, while catching 25 passes for 222 yards and one touchdown in 16 games.

Story thanks to...... You Bastard Curt. You just ahd to post that before me didnt you?

ESPN is reporting the trade has fallen through because Minnesota wants a 2nd round pick from the Raiders as a part of the deal. Stay tuned.

Javon Walker is TO Jr.

Get his ass out of Green Bay, we probably cant get more than a 3rd for him because of his punk attitude and injury problems though. You had one good season Javon. Play out your contract and then get rewarded, jerk...

Im happy with getting Kampman, I guess we'll get Hawk in the draft now.

As well Stay Tuned, Favre is supposedly going to make his decision "very soon", whatever that means...

I've yet to see anything official come across the wire on Ramsey and the Jets. I'm hoping it is just a rumor because we still want Leinart in NY (who is working out for the Jets this weekend :) ).

The Redskins made contact this morning with 49ers defensive end Andre Carter, Rams safety Adam Archuleta, Chiefs quarterback Todd Collins and Steelers receiver Antwaan Randle El and will fly them in as early as today. Washington is also working on a possible trade for Brandon Lloyd of the 49ers.

More transactions from this afternoon:

Rams ink veteran safety Corey Chavous

49ers re-sign kicker Joe Nedney

Vikings sign running back Chester Taylor, kicker Ryan Longwell

Chris Hovan (and his trashy jersey) re-signs with Buccaneers

Keeping Kampy was a must, hes turning into a pretty solid player for a 5th round pick.Made me very happy :)

We signed Marquand Manuel from the Seahawks, hes a upgrade over Roman so im happy with that too

Ryan Longwell going to Minnesota sucks badly, but from what i heard they didnt even make an effort to talk to the leading scorer in team history,so if i was him i would walk too.

Ryan Pickett visits tomorrow, which kind of tells me they dont look for Grady to comeback.

And lastly IMO AJ Hawk would be a perfect fit for the Pack.:)

Browns sign Jerevicius

story

I would think that the signings of LeCharles Bentley and Kevin Shaffer are just as big as the Browns getting Jerevicius.

In other signings:

Baltimore signs DE Trevor Pryce

Buffalo signs WR Andre' Davis
