Albert Bell had eight dominant years ,but he won't make the HOF why is that?Dale Murphy was a great guy , but he won't make the HOF ,why?

Again, being a hall of famer is about a combination of things.

Stats don't mean everything, being a nice guy doesn't mean everything, championships don't mean everything. Combined, though, they can help measure whether or not you are a hall of famer.

Well lets just project everyones numbers for five or six years. This is not fantasy baseball it is what you did on the field.Yes there should be a set of numbers to be considered for HOF.And didn't Puckett's wife acuse him of trying to kill her? And what about this steroid issue . Some of you have said steroids use equal no HOF.

First of all, no credible source out there is alleging Kirby Puckett used steroids. It's reckless banter -- nothing more.

Secondly, wasn't it you who claimed we're advocating for the "nice guy" vote in the Hall of Fame. Now you're wondering why Kirby should be included because of spousal abuse allegations?

You're spinning yourself in circles with this argument, which means it's going nowhere.

If Kirby Puckett's numbers don't say Hall of Fame, then Barry Bonds never took steroids.

Sheesh. This is absolutely absurd. How does a batting average of .318 over 12 years PLUS 10 All-Star game appearances PLUS six Gold Gloves PLUS five times leading the league in hits aren't numbers for the Hall of Fame, then just what are numbers for the Hall of Fame?

And don't give me anything about there being others more deserving than Puckett. If others have greater numbers than Puckett but are out of the Hall of Fame, then maybe they belong in the Hall, or will eventually make it to the Hall.

The numbers are there for Puckett. You can't argue.
