I like 'em. As a matter of fact I think I will get a customized purple one when they are availabe.

Wow. I dig. I cant wait to see them with the pants and helmets, but right here these look awesome. One thing that has kind of annoyed me about teams changing unis in the NFL in the last few years is the fact that they update the unis to look pretty decent, or at least more modern, but do nothing or very little with the helmets. That always looks so out of place to me. teams like the bills and Cardinals (sure the logo was updated but most people wouldnt hardly notice). But, one thing ive liked about this update and even the bengals update (its growing on me) is that they seem to have tried to take the uniform and update it to compliment a very good helmet, which both Cincinatti and Minnesota have.

ok so i went to the pro shop, and theres a graphic of a helmet, the horn looks different, kinda looks sleeker. i dont know if its new, or just the way the graphic is, maybe its warped.

though, it just might be me making a big deal out of nothing, we'll know by tomorrow i guess.

Replicas always look so much worse than the authentic. At least the vikings actually took into account that the sleeves will be super short on the players and left them pretty much blank. No design should be cut off on the authentics.

So, IS that the same? I cant tell witht he striping. Looks to me that the sholder stripes are USC-ish, in being like cresents. Unless they are actually stripes like shown on the leaked mockup, and we dont see that because of the fold in the 3D hang.

Also, are the side stripes triangualr, or are we getting another goofy fold look at them?

I also find it funny that they chose a player name to subliminally influence what you think of them... "I dunno, Jim.. i think they are... i dunno.. sharper than the old ones."

Anyone else think the horn wrapping around the shoulder looks incredibly childish? It seems so Laettner-era Atlanta Hawkish to me. Exaggerating logo themes as part of uniform usually ends up looking very silly.

While I can't call these new uniforms upgrades persay, they're at least better than the Bengals.

Are the corners of the numbers really rounded? It's hard to tell if that's intentional, or just a bad Photoshop attempt at a stroked path.

I gotta say, this topic alone exemplifies the beauty of this board. Here we are, from all different corners of the world, we all root for hundreds of different teams, and yet we're all talking about one specific team's uniform. We all have different opinions on these unis, and yet, we're all talking about the same thing. I dunno, I just find that fascinating.

I REALLY wish they would have updated the Norseman logo while they were updating the uniforms...

A few things that bug me here.

First off, there is a trend I noticed with the Giants last year and it seems to be the case with these replicas which I hope is not on the authentic jerseys. I love having the team name small above the numbers, but I HATE when there is a ton of space around the wordmark and it pushed the numbers down. It drives me nuts.

Another issue I HATE is when teams go with this type of a busy but modern look, but then go with a Serif type face for the player name. They should go with a simple san serif type face (condensed if possible). It never matches. Serif type faces are usually reserved for more classic look and feels and are too busy. They also don't fit when you have a long name like Hasselback or something like that.

In my mind, this is one of the best uniform updates ever. It pays enough respect to the past, while being forward thinking. It takes into account the modern cut of uniforms and has design elements placed efficiently. The sleeve 'horn' works in my mind because it's not too literal, but ties everything in with the helmet.

I can see how people who are unwilling to accept anything other than 50-80s style would be disappointed, but for anyone who appreciates the modern style, I think these are a shining example.

Am I the on;y that think that these are a complete rip off of the Patriouts uniforms. And they didn't do as good as a job.

I dunno, they remind me more of the Sabres' jerseys with the horn wrap-around from the side paneling.

I like them, except for the player name font and the part Avenger pointed out about the wordmark on the front.
