ABCJr
Is it just me, or are there too many of these bubble gradient button glass looking things going on?
OMMF
Is it just me, or are there too many of these bubble gradient button glass looking things going on? I like it. Kind of has a British, Tube-like feel to it.
logodawg
Did anybody know that this was going to happen? I turn on the TV, flipping through the channels and holy crap, they changed their logo.
HurricaneDavid
Mod Edit: Unnecessary wisecrack. It's a general design thread -- it's kinda what we discuss here.

Bearcats
I really like the new one for some reason. My girlfriend likes the old one a lot better and she watches TLC all the time.
fiasco!
the bubbles are way better than the swoosh/oval phenomenon of the last 15 years....i like the new TLC logo, very nice update.
pcgd
Nice slogan. Good logo. Probably looks good in 1 color/without gradient. It fits their approach better. The old one was more "History" channel, but the new one is a little hipper. All these channels (USA, TBS, TLC, etc) getting new logos are part of the same company aren't they? Or maybe not... They wouldn't be part of the same company, because TBS is owned by AOL Time Warner and USA is owned by NBC Universal. Not sure who owns TLC, though... I turn on the TV, flipping through the channels and holy crap, they changed their logo. I can't believe you missed the press conference and the ads in all of the major magazines and newspapers. I was counting down the days until the big unveiling.
yh
whats the point of change if its something as dumb and miniscule as this? I see someone learned a new word in middle school today. How can you possibly think that this is a "miniscule" change? From a design perspective, it's a substantial change; certainly not a complete overhaul, but far from a minor tweak. The font is different; the letter boxes are rounded, colored and given a gradient. That's not miniscule.
