sacker12
I thought that Majestic unveils a similar type fabric last year?
FiddySicks
havent heard about them. but that sounds like a great idea. wonder how they will wear.never got the whole wear Wool caps in the middle of the summer. Yeah polyester jerseys and wool caps for day games in St. Louis in July would be enough to make me want to sign with the Rockies. BallWonk
Interesting. The Nats Cool Base jersey shows it with a different sleeve patch:Where the words "Washington Nationals" are replaced by a ring of stars. Is that for real, or just a bit of corner-cutting from whoever made the mock-up graphic?

Howd we miss that one? On 11/19/2012 at 7:23 PM, oldschoolvikings said: She’s still half convinced “Chris Creamer” is a porn site.)

Yeah polyester jerseys and wool caps for day games in St. Louis in July would be enough to make me want to sign with the Rockies.I agree with you on that one. I bought a sleeveless shirt made with the same material a couple summers ago, and when you start to get sweaty, the shirt sticks to you MORE than a cotton shirt would. I would go with a Cool Base cap though. Wool is itchy in the first place, but it's even worse after a hot summer day and it stinks as well. I believe they would be even cheaper for the team as the Cool Base caps wouldn't have to be as replaced as much as wool caps, which tend to only last about six months on me and who knows how long on a major leaguer playing every day for seven months. As for an example on what a wool cap looks like on a player after a complete summer, see Steve Kline I believe who wore the same cap all season for luck. The announcers would always say it looked like he was wearing a brown St. Louis Browns cap instead of a blue Cardinals road cap. The Cards had a promotion for a free Kline cap which was a normal Cards cap with screenprinted "dirt" all over it. Get Ron Santo in the Hall of Fame. A lot of kids started crying when they got theirs because they didnt know what the promotion was for. philly97flyer
I saw someone wearing a gray Cardinals one today at the Phillies game, appeared to be the same material as the BP jerseys.
sacker12
I think that many uniform makers are using a similar fabric for their baseball uniforms.
