5th Inning: Yankees 11, A's 1 (Asswhupin)

Recommended Posts

Just turned on the A's game to see Damon get punched out by Zito with that HUGE Mr. Bendy curve of his---but he looks really strange in that Yankees uni.

WHAT kind of reception will he get his first trip into Fenway? I would bet a bit...hostile.

update: A-Rod hits slam. Zito out of there. Ugly.

I'm guessing not a very good one. Seeing that the Bo-Sox and Yankees are rivals, most Sox fans saw Damon selling his soul to the devil.

Seeing Damon clean shaven in a New York cap and jersey is like one of those cheesy movies 50's horror movies when one of the friends gets brainwashed by the aliens and they look all different.

Kinda like when Spock went evil and they slapped a goatee on him.

You guys do realize he only had the beard for 2 seasons in his 10 season plus career. He didn't have a beard or long hair with Kansas City, Oakland, or his first year with Boston.

True. Damon's head was pretty much shaved when he first signed with the Red Sox. It didn't start to get shaggy until the next season.

Here is a picture from his press conference for being signed before the 2002 season.

Here's a picture from the 2003 playoffs at Oakland, when Damon collided with Damien Jackson and their heads hit each other.

And a picture from some time in 2004, after he started growing the beard.

And finally, after signing with the Yankees.
