Apparently the adidas lettering doesn't come in gold or blue or any color other than white because Newcastle wore these for their Intertoto Cup game today. Luckily, they could be out of Europe by next week and the white-on-white look would be retired for the rest of the year.

black and white madness!

first, on the quoted photo: that's just awful. horrid planning there, I say. they may as well have gone nameless.

then, I hit the Lotto...I'd actually liked those Udinese shirts, but I think those Gladbach jerseys are better

Bah why did adidas give us the same shirt just with a collar :cursing:

And because of their trophyless last few seasons Madrid have obviously got UEFA to invent a new award judging by that right breast patch.

Not UEFA...they went straight to the top!

[Croatia National Team Manager Slavan] Bilic then went on to explain how Croatia's success can partially be put down to his progressive man-management techniques. "Sometimes I lie in the bed with my players. I go to the room of Vedran Corluka and Luka Modric when I see they have a problem and I lie in bed with them and we talk for 10 minutes." Maybe Capello could try getting through to his players this way too? Although how far he'd get with Joe Cole jumping up and down on the mattress and Rooney demanding to be read his favourite page from The Very Hungry Caterpillar is open to question. --The Guardian's Fiver, 08 September 2008

I scrolled up and down the clickable smilies, but there wasn't a ::vomit:: face. That shirt is truly horrid.

You didn't look hard enough...

Is adidas adding every team's name to the back of the shirt like they did with MLS? It'd look rather silly is Bayern Munich had something like this on the back and then the rather large Bayern Munchen they usually have across the back. At least Liverpool is "hiding" the logo on the back collar by stitching it in a similar red color
