I might need STL to back me up/correct me on this one...but Holt wore #81 at NC State, got drafted by the Rams and Az Hakim had his number. When Hakim got released, Holt reclaimed his #81.Oh, and InTheEnd...did you get the inspiration from your sig from an old 49ers poster? STL FANATIC Posted October 28, 2003 Share Posted October 28, 2003 I believe your correct. He had 81 at NC State, and then he took 88 with the Rams because of Hakim. And when Hakim left for big money with the Lions after 2001, Holt went back to 81 for 2002. I thought it was weird at the time, because he had just starting making a name for himself, so changing the number is weird.
