Good game for Philly tonight. BIG confidence booster after that 8 goal beat down two nights ago. Flyers picking it back up and San jose taking the upper hand in their series, damn. Hocky is starting to look up for me. B)

I feel for those that picked the stars to win, it looks like the avs will be taking that series in 4 or 5 games. i can't imagine them recovering from giving up a late 3rd period goal to tie the game and send it in to overtime. we still have ot though and the stars could turn this around.

Edit: Stars are done.

Neither of Forsberg's goals tonight hit the net directly...  ^_^

He could have had 2 G with 0 SOG. Wonder when the last time that happened was?

Doesn't a player get a SOG anytime he's credited with a goal?

Someone on the offense has to get the SOG because it counts as a shot against for the goalie. Am I totally wrong here?

Logically, that makes sense. I don't know if that is actually true, though.

@nd best game I've ever gone to the first one being in the 2004 playoffs vs. the leafs when Chara ( my favourite player) scored the wraparround in double overtime. That was nuts!

Well that shows how biased you are that you can remember your favorite player doing something that never happened.

--Roger "Time?" Clemente.

I'm sure Lalime was his favorite player when he won the series for Ottawa in game 7 of that series...oh wait...

Game7_lalime_fivehole.jpg

BTW, RC, you are a god for somehow finding time to be able to go back and find out for sure to burn him. Bravo.

Sorry my mistake I was thinking of the other goal and Neon MAtrix, I never liked LAlime. And this is just me wondering do you always have to come back with something against the sens, give it up already.

Hi, how are you?

I love how Leafs fans are still talking crap about the Sens... when the Leafs' current scoring shots involve eighteen hole courses instead of five-holes.

I wouldn't be a Leafs fan without bashing the Sens for when their success comes from us being better than them their entire existance! We were big, they got big, we had fighters, they got fighters, we had an old man in net, they got an old man in net, etc etc.

Every team wants big guys, they want fighters. that's hockey, It's not like the Leafs should be the only team with a big guy on it. sheesh

I'm not going to stop my Anti-Sens thing, especially since they are doing well right now. I don't like the Sens, but I do respect them. They are a team who has grown in the shadow of a giant and they have somehow found a way to stand their own ground. I respect them, but I dont like them. When I said they are at their current state because of the influence of the stronger leafs, its true. Because one of their original weaknesses was size and toughness (which Toronto had plenty of) the Sens stocked up bigger players and known fighters (Rob Ray). It has taken awhile, but they have built up a team who has size and skill, the former of which they lacked for most of their existance. They have taken the right direction in improving themselves and trying to make themselves legitimate in a really tough market and as much as this pains me to say, unless they win a cup this season they will still be viewed as a team who has everything a team could hope for and still falls flat on its face when it really counts. I think part of the increased hatred comes from jealousy, I mean, they have done better in the latter part of their 13 years of existance than the Leafs have done in the 40 years since their last stanley cup victory. Unless we win the cup in the next few years and the Sens stay a hot team, the hatred towards them will remain. The rivalry will never disappear but it will be awhile before I and many other leafs fans will warm up to them. I will admit I will gain respect for them if they can win the cup this season (which we all know wont happen!! ^_^ )

What's up with John Tortorella saying how the Sens' weakness is the 3rd period after game 3? They were +50 in the 3rd in the regular season, and are +4 through 3+ 3rd Periods in the series? Was this a little psychological ploy, or is Tortorella seeing something 6 billion people plus aren't seeing?

[Croatia National Team Manager Slavan] Bilic then went on to explain how Croatia's success can partially be put down to his progressive man-management techniques. "Sometimes I lie in the bed with my players. I go to the room of Vedran Corluka and Luka Modric when I see they have a problem and I lie in bed with them and we talk for 10 minutes." Maybe Capello could try getting through to his players this way too? Although how far he'd get with Joe Cole jumping up and down on the mattress and Rooney demanding to be read his favourite page from The Very Hungry Caterpillar is open to question. --The Guardian's Fiver, 08 September 2008

that's right just rub it in buddy, kick a dead dog while he is down.,im just messing w/ you,but still.

Sorry bud. :P Just excited is all. Accually, Nashville has nothing to be ashamed of so far. Theyve played one tough series with their backup goalie. If not for the Vokun injury, this series might be very different. No disrespect to you or your Preds, oz.
