sugarloaf
Since it's pretty much a guarantee that Steve Nash is the 2006 NBA MVP I had a question I wanted to impose. Now that he has two MVP Awards where does that rank him among the All-Time Great Point Guards? Does his MVP Awards throw him in an elite group and why? skratchmo
Steve Nash is the NBA equivalent to the NFL's Kurt Warner. Two/three great years included along with more average years in his career.Warner won't be in his Hall of Fame and Nash does deserve it yet either for his Hall. The Nation
Kurt Warner has had 2 good years in his 8 year career, 1999 and 2001, and his career has gone downhill ever since. Whereas Steve Nash has been improving ever since he started in the NBA, a four time all-star, two time MVP. Steve Nash has been consistent, and I think it is unfair to put him in the same class as Kurt Warner. Steve Nash is already in the elite class of winning back-to-back MVP's. I could see Nash in the Hall of Fame based on his numbers thus far.Steve Nash's Career Numbers

Dude, that's because you live in Vancouver.... Nash has had a good career up to now. I don't think he's someone who's up there with Cousy or Isiah Thomas nor do I think he's really even Hall-of-Fame material right now. I think if he wins an NBA title, he can be in a discussion with the all-time greats.

No, in Vancouver you hear such things like...Duuude...have you ever looked at your hands? I mean have you ever realllly looked at them? They're huge duude! WHOA! infrared41
and i live in canada and ive never heard someone say eh. Believe it or not I once heard a lady say "eh" in a McDonald's in Windsor. She was telling her kids to do something and dropped an "eh" at the end of her sentence. Over the years I've been to Windsor, Toronto, and some of the small towns just over the border in upstate New York. That was the only time I ever heard anyone use "eh" in Canada. On topic...Steve Nash has a long way to go before we start ranking him among the all time greats.Right now he's a really good player but he's no Magic or Isiah, etc. Let's see what he does over the long haul before we go "ESPN" and start calling him one of the greatest ever. BJ Sands
Let's see him get to an NBA Finals. Or play a little defense. Twenty years from now, people will look at those two MVPs as ridiculous. Sort of like Karl Malone's 1997 MVP or Mo Vaughn's in 1995 (different sport, I know).

He's probably going to end up having a good season this year as will. Also, Warner has something that Nash currently lacks-a championship ring. sugarloaf
Steve Nash is already in the elite class of winning back-to-back MVP's.You mean it used to be elite! I think if he wins an NBA title, he can be in a discussion with the all-time greats. Why would winning a title have to do with that?Sort of like Karl Malone's 1997You have got to be kidding me. You think Nash should be the MVP this year but yet you dispute Malone winning it in '97. Why?
NJTank
Hes in a uniqiue catagory of his own. Hes not a great scorer hes not that flashy but he makes the plays and makes everyone else around him better, and though it may not make him an all time top 50 player hes a Hall of Famer and he is one of the best players now and he deserved the MVP this year and last year.
