Jaybird
This is a question for CFL fans:What throwback uniforms would you like to see your favourite (favorite) team wear? For example, your favorite style uniform, or a memorable year? (Note: For Montreal, you can use either original Alouettes, the 1980's Concordes, or the current Als unis). Atlanta Braves, please bring back the Indian Head logo.
Sodboy13
I want to see a Ti-Cats throwback, and I wanna see stripes. Lots and lots of stripes. Also, if any team would care to adopt the identity of the San Antonio Texans for one game, I'd be all for that. Thats what it looks like to me. Also the flair around the tip of the beak is just flair that fleur de lis have sometimes source I am from NOLA. Lee.
Personally, I'd like to see a PERMANENT return to the old-school "W" on the Bomber helmets, and perhaps amalgamating the 1980's-style jerseys with the newer colors. But that's me.Keep that gold jersey, though, that's a beaut. Jezus_Ghoti
This is also something that I have thought about a lot.I really kills me that Reebok redesigned the entire league and gave every team a new, modern look (not to mention the fact that several are the exact same template). I am not against modern looks, but would it have been too much to ask for ONE team to go back to a throwback? NFL teams look great in classic attire, and the CFL had some amazing old uniforms. At this point I would like to note that the throwbackish Blue Bombers gold jerseys don't count, in my books since (to the best of my knowledge) they aren't based on any real jerseys, but are simply made to look retro. For a throwback to work, you need to go back to EXACTLY what was once worn. The only hope now is for teams to start wearing true throwbacks on Labour Day games (roughly the CFL's equivalent of Thanksgiving games), but even that hope looks lost with news that the Tiger-Cats are going to break out stupid new white helmets and all white attire for their "Don't Wear White After Labour Day" promotion. Stampman
A few years back the Stamps & Als wore throwbacks for the final Stamps home game--and the jerseys were auctioned off for charity--they weren't exact throwbacks--but they were pretty close--Unfortunately that led to the Stamps wearing gold pants for other games. Comic Sans walks into a bar, and the bartender says, "Sorry, we don't serve your type here."
GeorgesL
I would love it if the Als wear the late 1970's unis. They should wear them against Edmonton in Olympic Stadium this season. Both teams wearing the 1977 uniforms from the Grey Cup. Let's have a re-enactment of the Staples game!!!

Seriously, I like the fact that the Als & Edmonton kept their original jersey designs. If it were up to me, I would try to incorporate the old school design of the concordes jersey into a third jersey. The jersey they have now isn't bad, but I just don't like the burgundy numbers and silver outline on a blue jersey. It just looks weird.
firestorm
If there is a team that should go retro, it's the Roughriders. Everyone of their newer combinations ? green on black, green on silver, black on black ? seems out of touch. They're an old school team in an old school ? the Packers of the CFL. Bring back the old green and white, with the matte grey pants, sort of what the Giants have done in the NFL.Only flaw is the old helmets... I've heard rumours that the Riders will wear a throwback uni this year. It's the 40th anniversary of the 1966 Grey Cup, and the team's doing a few promotions.
