DJR118
Odd. There's no asterisk by the title. They ought to at least mention the 17 points the referees spotted them. most worthless post ever - get over it You need to get that knee-jerking taken care of. You could hurt yourself. While he's doing that, you better remove those "Pacific Blue"-tinted glasses - they're making you see things that aren't there. Pulling for the Seagals would be against my nature. I just hated that the officials determined the outcome of the game. I'll be reminding any Squealers fans of that fact pretty much at any opportunity I get. It's great fun. nice try, but i'm not a steelers fan - you're just wrong
Gothamite
And that's a terrible excuse for boorish behavior.I was rooting for the Hawks during the game, and I can tell you the officials didn't win the Super Bowl. The Steelers did, mostly because the Seahawks threw it away.Time to let it go. The Green Bay Packers Uniform Database! Now in a handy blog. Captain Poncho
nice try, but i'm not a steelers fan - you're just wrong Didn't say you were, snugglebritches. It was aimed at a general Squealer audience. But as it turns out, even a Flyers fan can do the knee-jerk shuffle. No worries.

What would you call whining incessantly about someone poking fun at the Squealers?I can also tell you that the officials had a huge and direct effect on the game. At least 14 points worth, which I shan't go into here, lest this take up more time than I deem worthy on this subject.Of course, I could also get sanctimonious and suggest the next time you feel inclined to complain about a jab at the expense of the Squealers, you ought to just "let it go."But I wouldn't do anything so boorish. There wasn't a single penalty call in that game that wasn't given a justifiable explanation.Anyone can tell you this: Whining is more annoying than bragging. Also, how can you score 17 points from three touchdowns?--Roger "Time?" FiddySicks
Every time i see a ring with the team logo on it it just pisses me off to no end that Tampa Bay didnt use the flag logo on their rings. I mean, because its my teams ring, its still the most beautiful ring ever, but it would ahve been 100% better had they used the logo rather than the generic looking trophy. I must have missed that explanation. I would love to hear what it was. I'm listening.....By the way, it is a beautiful ring (to stay on topic). FiddySicks
Greatest rings ever:Next year's will be even better! You see, thats perfect. The team logo is on all THREE rings as well as the trophys. IMO the only time you can get away with having JUST the trophies, its when youve won at LEAST four or more. Having one trophy on the ring with no team logo looks stupid. Harmening
The Patriots, by far, have the best designed rings. That Steelers one just doesn't look right to me. I can't explain it, though. Maybe it just seems too cluttered for my taste. Maybe not enough shine, something. I haven't quite figured it out yet. I just think the Pats rings were designed beautifully, trophies and logos just seemed to fit perfectly. I just wish my Bengals could somehow win a Super Bowl, so I could see what their's would look like.

Thanks, Viola.I'm always thoroughly entertained by how a jab at the officiating at the Extra Large Super Bowl brings about the feverish cries of "let it go!" in much the same tone as one might expect from a hysterical shrew after a triple espresso and a side of acid.My compatriots here certainly have been no exception. Avenger
The rings are a little too cluttered for my taste... I wish they would've darkened the inner circle a little bit so the colored stones in the logo would pop a little bit. Not bad, though, and I've deginitely seen worse.Am I the only one who gets a kick out of Rooney, Rothlesbuger, and Bettis are credited with the design of the rings? I don't doubt that they had input, but think it's probably unlikely they actually designed anything, short of remedial sketches on a cocktail napkin. If I were the actual jewelery designer of the rings, I'd probably want a little of the credit.I just hope the Broncos win another one while I'm on the drumline. It would be neat to have a Super Bowl ring.
Gothamite
Making a joke about an asterisk is "boorish behavior"? Thanks for pointing that out. What would you call whining incessantly about someone poking fun at the Squealers? Derailing a thread off-topic to cover old ground (more than thoroughly exhausted on past threads) is boorish behavior, yes.So is accusing your fellow posters of "whining" when they call you on it. hawk36
The Steelers can wear whatever they want. They know in their hearts that they were given the championship, if they can feel good about themselves knowing that, so be it, wear the ring. If it were me, don't know how proud I'd be to wear it. Kind of like winning a fight because your big brother knocked the other guy out for you. Design Hovie Studios
