Fred T. Jane
Facist, I thought you were an American. Yep, and he probably prides himself with the Italians' military success... last seen 2 millenia ago! [Croatia National Team Manager Slavan] Bilic then went on to explain how Croatia's success can partially be put down to his progressive man-management techniques. "Sometimes I lie in the bed with my players. I go to the room of Vedran Corluka and Luka Modric when I see they have a problem and I lie in bed with them and we talk for 10 minutes." Maybe Capello could try getting through to his players this way too? Although how far he'd get with Joe Cole jumping up and down on the mattress and Rooney demanding to be read his favourite page from The Very Hungry Caterpillar is open to question. --The Guardian's Fiver, 08 September 2008 Attention: In order to obtain maximum enjoyment from your stay at the CCSLC, the reader is advised that the above post may contain large amounts of sarcasm, dry humour, or statements which should not be taken in any true sort of seriousness. Seadragon76
While you guys are arguing over there about Tank's ancestry, I just want to say that it doesn't matter who wins tomorrow's game, I just want to see some good football from both sides. CZzyzx41
Sheesh who to root for? I'm not even going into the issues I have with each country as a whole. No country is really above scrutiny. I like Zidane and Henry but they've been inconsistent working with each other. Meanwhile the Italians have talent up front for once but they dive so much and it really kills the sport. I think if a player gets caught diving, it should be an instant red card and suspension for a period of time based on the seriousness of the dive. Now the animal side of me is thinking of a much more gruesome fate but frankly it's unrealistic, cruel and just wrong. -DanielCheck Out My Podcast! CZzyzx41
Hmmmm I suddenly feel like making a Supporting Italy is like supporting Fascism. Well that goes without saying. At least the Italians HAVE a connection with Fascism. France is like Communism? See just one more example of how Italians have never been accused of being intelligent. It's all emotions and bravado, no brains. Which is exactly why they'll lose.OH, and I might add none of the French players or coaches is currently involved in a match-fixing investigation. I'm just saying. You add that with the Fascism and the diving, and you have real good reason to question the character of anyone who roots for Italia. -DanielCheck Out My Podcast! BaltimoreFan
At least the Italians HAVE a connection with Fascism. yea, what's your point. Germany had a connection with Hitler. I guess no one should root for them either. Do you question those fans charater too? Say what you want but Italy has made it this far fairly. Hopefully they can pull out one more victory today.
